About
This webpage will serve as a repository of the collective memory of HORSE the band, as it reflects on its most controversial, intractable, and epic endeavor: The Earth Tour.
Over the course of the self-booked and self-funded 2008 tour, which reached 45 countries and 4 continents in 90 days, the band and its documentary team amassed volumes of video recordings, photographs and writings, and it quickly became clear that a central clearinghouse of information was needed, both for the participants themselves, and for those who wish to share in the adventure. This page is a living historical artifact, which will grow as we continue to further understand what actually happened to us during those tumultuous 90 days.
The photos, commentary and video clips that we share here are meant as a companion to the material in the limited edition Earth Tour Photobook and 6 DVD set and the previously released DVD “We Flooded It, and There’s Yoghurt Everywhere – aka 48 Hours in Ukraine”. Extended video pieces that we found interesting and poignant, but not appropriate for either of our DVD releases may find its place on these pages as well.
